Being a Latin fashion journalist in Europe?

There are many difficulties when it comes to fashion journalism in Latin America.

After my first post on this topic, called Being a Fashion Journalist in Latin America?, I continued to get in touch with even more Latin fashion journalists.

It’s quite interesting to note that, oftentimes, Instagram just keeps you around the same network of people. However, it was actually through Substack that I met Venezuela-born Graciela Martin, who is now based in London.

On Substack, Graciela is writing

GEN33
, a publication exploring different creative industries in Latin America. Most recently, as a contributor, Graciela also published Inside Latin America’s $90 Billion E-tailer Mercado Libre on The Business Of Fashion, which also caught my attention.

In this talk, we exchange experiences about studying fashion journalism in London and the obstacles that come with writing about Latin American fashion.
