Honestly, I’ve had these brands saved in my archive of posts for so long, but I couldn’t figure out a proper way to share them until now.
Meet these four fashion projects based in Latin America that I have been eyeing for so long and that are currently some of my favorites.
Aida Studio
Based in Puerto Rico, Maru Aldea (who, by the way, is a former Senior Design Manager at Under Armour) owns not only a vintage store, Aida, but also Aida Studio, which, according to their profile, creates “made-to-order heirlooms focused on repurposing vintage and secondhand textiles.”
Meaning: you can turn your grandma's tablecloth into a beautiful garment. I just adore the sets they have and the fact that the pieces look so carefully made, preserving the original characteristics.
